Lillie Langtry cabinet cards

Lillie Langtry (née Emilie Charlotte Le Breton) was born in 1853 in Jersey After moving to London with her husband,  Edward Langtry, she became known for her beauty with her likeness appearing in magazines and for sale as prints and in paintings by leading artists, including Millais. She gained notoriety in the late 1870s when she became the mistress of Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII). After the break-up of her marriage she began a career as an actress, touring the UK and America during the 1880s.
